One of the biggest problem(s) faced in the world is waste recycling and management of non-biodegradable materials like styro cup which is made from a type of polystyrene foam commonly used among commercial establishments and household consumers.

Another major problem and frustration among household plant enthusiasts or hobbyists are planting space as everything is almost always the property developer leave very little space for the plants to grow or even perhaps no ground space for a plant to grow.

Problem(s):  Styrocup Waste Disposal/Recycling +  Limited/Too Little Growing Space

To address these issues, we must contribute a little bit of creative solution in helping mother Earth.

In this article journal, I am going to share with you a simple, practical, cost effective and above all easy to make and maintain solution in addressing the above mentioned problems.

Solution:

Styrocup-based Vertical wall garden

It all started in a cup of coffee and a little chat with the cafe crew.  According to them all their used styro cups will just be thrown away everyday.

And on that very moment, as I was zipping my coffee while staring at the nearby hotel with a vertical wall garden, I made a promise to myself to make a study on how we can turn the negative aspect of used styro cup into a positive and inspiring solution on a household level.

So, what exactly is a vertical wall garden?

Vertical Wall Garden is a logically functional design system of growing plants designed specifically for limited or too little space area in either indoor or outdoor combine with art, science, a little of creative engineering & love .

Green living Wall

In this platform of format, the plants are grown upward from the ground and the type of plants used self-regenerating climbing and scrambling plants.

The biggest advantage of this platform is it’s very low in maintenance. You don’t need trim from time to time or water every now and then. The kind of plants itself is very resilient to any climate.

The disadvantage of this platform is most likely fall off on the diversity of plants and it’s vibrant colors it may bring to your wall as it’s a bit of a monotonous platform considering there are only few self regenerating climber plants.
